Who are we?
Our mission is to provide our customers with innovative brain storming and consulting in areas of wireless, mobile and embedded technology, helping them understand and harness the many possibilities of ubiquitous technology and turn them into strategic products, services and business goals.
And we turn those into real-life, functioning product descriptions and prototypes which serve as a platform for our customers” further evaluation and discussion with their management, prospects and other stakeholders
Not the traditional way
Until very recently the art of developing products and services with mobile and embedded technology involved much of work by deeply specialized engineers and thus a lot of money.
With so much geekiness required to make a functional prototype, the gap between the effort needed in terms of time and money and a client’s wish for a simple, open and agile process often grows quite large.
Why we do things differently
We believe that the customer, their business ideas and their business goals in a project involving (really any) technology are the first-class citizens that we need to support.
Technology is really just a means of reaching other goals, be those goals in business, society or personally.
We help our customers explore technology and along with it helping them reach their goals and build their products and services.
That’s our focus.
How we do things differently
At OhNoWire we don’t have a horde of engineers on the payroll. Instead we have a network of young, dynamic and inspiring people who have grown up with technology and have a deep interest in putting technology to work.
We don’t have any fancy partnerships with hardware suppliers which could effectively lock our customers into a certain hardware design at an early stage. Instead we aim to make our designs as supplier agnostic as possible.
We know, absolutely and certainly, that networking the technology is key to success. The future lies in interconnected, networked and multi-role appliances that have multiple interfaces (web, mobile etc.) and which can function as integral parts of social networks and online communities.
As far as possible we use off-the-shelf hardware that enables the prototyping project to develop rapidly and then later on, when the PoCs and PoBs point in a prosperous direction, facilitate the switch to custom designed circuits, if needed.
We strive to have an ongoing dialogue with our customers, working iteratively and involving them as much in the process as they wish.
